Your role

As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will have the following responsibilities:

Threat Intel Platform Area:

• TIP Walkthrough in general
• TIP Walkthrough (Threat Model, iType and Observables)
• TIP Walkthrough (Understanding Threat Model)
• Research and understand about TIP (Threat Intel Platform) in general
• Exposure to Anomali ThreatStream in AIA Environments.
• Understand the overall dashboard available in Anomali and what is the presented data abouts.
• Familiar with the Anomali Tab (Dashboard, Analyze, Research) functions.
• Identify the differences between intelligences sources (feeds)
• Understand the relationship of Threat Model association in Observables iType and threat bulletin case studies in Anomali.

Threat Landscape, enrichment, Email Threat, Actor Profiling, campaign, MITRE etc:

• Introduction to ATT&CK Matrix for Enterprise
  • Understand base of adversary tactics and techniques based on real-world observations.
  • After understanding in this area, Intern are required to select 3 Threat Actor from Anomali Threat intel Platform (Threat Model) to match the Actor TTPs based on the ATT&CK Matrix.
• Identify the Threat Actor Profiles (Assignments):
  • Understanding the Threat Actor Capability
  • Identify what are the weakness (vulnerabilities) an actor leverage for a successful attack
  • Gathering the IOCs associated to a threat actor or cyber campaign.
  • Decision-making if the case studies is required for Threat Bulletin Publication in Threat Intel Platform (TIP).
• External Threat Landscape and Intelligence Enrichment (Assignments):
  • What’s happening over the week from External Threat Landscape perspective.
  • What are the vulnerabilities disclosed in the wild.
  • Is there any zer0-days exploits related news for the week? If YES, are you able to gather intelligence if any threat Actor are leveraging the exploits.
  • Is any active Ransomware Group in media attention over the week?
  • Any Media Attention Data Breach Incident?
• Email Threat Landscape (Proofpoint Telemetry) (Assignments):
  • How Many Phishing campaigns do youobserved from the attachment.
  • What are the types of Malware involve in the phishing campaign.
  • Identify and gathered the IOCs associated with each phishing campaign.
  • Provide an email trending distribute by Malware campaign types.
  • Understanding Email Threat Landscape.
• Email Intelligence Actor Profiling.
• Email Intelligence Top industry Malware used in email campaign.
• Understanding Threat Actor Campaign.
