Your role

As a Contract Engineer at AirAsia Malaysia, you will have the responsibilities below:

Main Responsibility

  • Organize, manage, and maintain an effective and economical administrative system within the Contracts Department in accordance with AirAsia X standards and CAA of Malaysia requirements.

Specific Function

  • To perform a review of contracts to ensure that they are in accordance with CAA of Malaysia requirements (including Airworthiness Notice 6101 and 6102).
  • Establish and maintain an effective and economical administrative system within the Contracts section.
  • Plan, implement, and manage the budget requirements for the Contracts section.
  • To actively participate in negotiation with vendors/customers where the Contracts aspect is concerned.
  • To process contracts implication in purchases and sales of engineering services and equipment.
  • To take appropriate follow-up action on Contractual issues.
  • To prepare and present reports and analyses to engineering management.
  • Advises management on Contractual concerns and solutions.
  • Serves as the liaison for the Contracts section with other divisions, departments, and external agencies.
  • Negotiates and resolves sensitive and controversial issues.
  • To process Engineering warranty and insurance claims.
  • To collect data, monitor, and analyze Engineering Direct Maintenance Costs. 
  • Any other task as directed by the Contract Manager.

Compensation & benefits

About you

  • Possess a recognized Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or any related field or any equivalent experience in Aviation.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. 
  • Candidates with some experience in contract management preferably related to aviation will have an added advantage. 
  • The ability to analyze problems logically, spot trends, and possible consequences and determine appropriate actions.
