Your role
This role will focus on engagement, innovation, quality and continuously delivering insights to customers in line with GBS's strategy for a quality customer-centric experience and innovative easy-to-use tools and processes for the customers. The role will allow the opportunity to support customer service delivery, improve current customer satisfaction, and provide strategic support in improving the customer experience offered by GBS.
As an Intern at BAT, you will be accountable for:
Create and maintain a Customer Centricity/Solution Provider Culture, ensuring Quality Control and Continuous Improvement.
Acts as a trusted advisor in the development of the customer journey and experience.
Handle relationships between Global Business Services (GBS) and End Market with the aim of achieving the right balance of expectations and understanding of service performance to ensure the quality and maintenance of service delivery.
Build a sustainable continuous improvement culture and existing engagements to bring more value, seeking opportunities to improve tools, systems, SOPs, Ways of Working, and overall customer support, and drive or support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Six Sigma, Alteryx, Celonis, Power BI) with simplification, elimination and automation.
Serve as a knowledge expert on internal systems and processes to ensure timely resolution of customer interactions and escalations, responding to queries in a timely and efficient manner to promote a business partnering culture.
Actively seek opportunities and provide feedback to improve the tools, systems, SOPs, and overall customer support from the GBS perspective.
Timely coordinating and delivering change communication across Global Business Services and End Markets when required for people movement.
Facilitating the delivery of Global Process Standards (GPS), ensuring proactive support is given to End Markets within the timeframe that aligns with service line standards.
Supporting and coordinating the awareness of customer satisfaction and consolidating action plans from Service Lines as per the End Market feedback.
Conduct regular business meetings with customers to identify opportunities, maintain relationships, and act as the point of contact for overall service issues including quality of service and repetitive incidents.
Ensure quality of resolution and demand prioritization.
Facilitate presentations and engagement meetings, ensuring minutes are taken and action plans follow through to completion.
Managing PowerPoint and PowerBI for visualization reporting.
Getting actively involved in Global Business Services scope expansion, future processes, or system changes.
Handle a range of financial tasks, such as transaction processing, financial analysis, and reporting, using the appropriate systems (SAP-ERC, BI) and agreed standard processes.
Perform period-end activities to ensure all transactions are posted accurately and the period is closed as per the timetable agreed.
Perform General Ledger reconciliations and follow-up on reconciling items to ensure all items are captured into the accurate General Ledgers.
Perform analysis and clearing of balance sheet accounts to ensure accounts are clean and suspicious transactions investigated.
Perform testing of new systems, technologies, and processes as required to minimize potential operational issues.
Takes part in ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned
About you
Essential experience, skills, and knowledge required are:
University graduate or Undergraduate with a degree in Business Administration/ Marketing/Economics/Accountancy or relevant fields
Fluent in English. Knowledge of other foreign languages is a plus.
Excellent presentation skills, and proven oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivated individual, working at high professional standards, with a strong focus on delivering quality and customer-centric services to internal clients.
Demonstrates a good understanding of consumer and business-to-business channel experiences and expectations, measures of satisfaction, and performance drivers.
Passion for customer success, empowering others, and delivering value to customers.
Knowledge of the SAP system would be an added advantage
