Your role

A career within Corporate Tax services will provide you with the opportunity to help clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You’ll also help organizations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as provide advice on the tax implications of deals.

The team helps clients improve their tax function to control risk and facilitate better decision-making. You’ll focus on helping businesses with tax strategy, ensuring tax compliance, increasing post-tax profits, and providing application support to achieve the best corporate tax practices.

Responsibilities

As an Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution.  You are expected to give your point of view, and ideas and contribute to the success of the team. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist the team in various aspects of the project (including management of projects);
  • Prepare draft deliverables (inputting your ideas, creativity, and POVs);
  • Contribute to the development of your own and your team’s technical acumen;
  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues;
  • Ensure you are adhering to compliance matters. 
  • PWC is looking for someone energetic and who has great communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with people.  It needs you to bring your strengths and deliver ideas and suggestions to resolve issues.

Compensation & benefits

The estimated base pay of an Associate may range from MYR 34000 to MYR 40000 per year. The estimated additional pay is MYR 5,000 per year. It also offers the following benefits :

About you

PWC is looking for candidates with the following requirements for this job:

  • Degree in any discipline and/or a professional accounting qualification such as the ICAEW / ACCA / MICPA-CAANZ / CPA Australia
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Possess good leadership skills and demonstrate resilience
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to interact with people of different backgrounds and build meaningful relationships
  • Able to demonstrate analytical thinking and business acumen.
