Role Responsibilities

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Key Stakeholders

The Business Analyst’s key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Continuously engaging with the Project Team and applicable business stakeholders to gather, create, analyse, and verify requirements, exchange feedback, align product expectations and resolve issues.  Deliverables include, but are not limited to, solution design documents, data quality validation, requirements matrices, data flow diagrams, and inventory sheets.
  • Detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions.
  • Creates User Stories in Product Backlog (based on programme vision) in close alignment with Product Owner and defines Acceptance Criteria in close alignment with Project Team.
  • Helps the Project Team ensure that the technical and functional Product Backlog is visible, clear and understood.
  • Undertake data analysis as required in order to validate/challenge and refine requirements
  • Responsible to assist on the oversight, reporting, and management of deliverables to key stakeholders
  • Makes recommendations to drive improvement efforts and participates in through action plan coordination and support
  • Ensure all relevant information is documented and updated in central repositories
  • Participates in Backlog Refinement and Sprint Planning, contributing to defining the Sprint Goal, estimating User Stories and ensuring these meet Definition of Ready criteria.
  • Participates in Agile ceremonies such as daily team Stand-up, Sprint Demo or Retrospective.
  • Supports the team to develop both, Definition of Ready and Done.
  • Presentation preparation. Visualizing data to translate for senior management consumption
  • Defining test cases for User Acceptance/ Verification Testing (UAT/ UVT), performs testing if required
