Your role

About the Team:

The Grab for Business (GFB) team customizes Grab services for businesses, offering ride-hailing, food deliveries, gift cards, and more. Grab offers a suite of tools, including policies, reporting, payments, and user management, to help businesses manage their resources efficiently.

This role involves building and expanding B2B products and services with a strong software engineering team, supporting operations at scale. In Grab for Business (GFB), engineers create a comprehensive B2B solution, integrating Grab product features, policies, corporate payments, invoicing, employee onboarding, and more for corporate clients.

The Day-to-Day Activities:

• You use technology to solve well-defined problems, building individual components or features based on well-defined tasks.
• You understand the requirements of your projects and use that understanding in your designs.
• You understand your codebase and systems, ensuring reliability through design reviews, monitoring, alerting, and applying OE (Operational Excellence) standards.
• You take ownership of your code and ensure it’s readable, maintainable, and well-tested.
• You understand and apply the appropriate data structures and algorithms.
• You give clear, actionable feedback during code reviews and respond well to feedback from others.
• You respond promptly to issues and keep the working team constantly updated.
• Your tasks are delivered on time and with high quality, and you’re able to explain your solutions to other technical stakeholders through both verbal and written communication.

About you

The must-haves for this internship:

• Experience with backend in Golang (preferred) or Java, C++, C#, or similar static languages
• Experience with React or similar web frameworks
• Strong computer science fundamentals including data structures and algorithms, along with a good understanding of large data processing
• Ability to clearly communicate effectively

The Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with cloud systems, AWS (preferred) or other cloud providers
• Hunger to learn fast with a steep learning curve
